Wales very kindly sent me a bottle of his YB. Here it is on my kitchen worktop:
And here it is in the glass:
Lovely colour, this one; nice, tightly packed foamy head.
Smells: hoppy. But it would. It's got over 100g in it! Well, it was brewed by WalesAles.
Taste? Funnily enough, not too hoppy at first, but a definite twang of hops after the swallow.
Nice lacing down the glass.
This reminds me of a beer I used to sup years ago: Acorn Barnsley Bitter - which makes sense, it's a Yorkshire Bitter. I've no idea whether they still make it.
This is bloody lovely mun! More flavour than many of today's commercial ales - in a good way. I'd happily buy a pint of this in my pub. I'd happily buy a bottle. This would easily pass for a commercial bitter.
Well done, Wales. BLM <<pink elephant>>
