Summer conditioning?

Post by Jeff » Fri Mar 07, 2008 7:34 pm

Hi all
Where do you all condition your beer in the summer months? Im using my shed at the moment but in the summer it gets very warm in there. Does beer have to be conditioned in a cool place or can it be conditioned in the warm then chilled?

Thanks

For a bit the shed became my warmish place for fermenting and early conditioning and the garage my cool place, then I gave up for a while entirely

Get someone pregnant about nowish and it'll occupy you through the lean months. That was my method.

Nothing like thinking ahead though. We had a frost here on Wednesday and I was worried I'd cut the grass too early. Now suddenly it's almost too warm to condition beer. Crikey. I may well Freecycle a fridge of some sort this year, and I'm planning ahead in my own way by bottling a few brews.
