Essential kit list

Will be making a visit to my local HBS soon. I have bought a starter kit and very sucessfully completed my first brew, so have all the basic kit. Was wondering what other 'essential' bits of kit would/could you not be without? Am definately going to purchase a bottle stand/dryer thingy, was also thinking of a bottling stick.....Bearing in mind I guess I have all the beginner's stuff what else would be usefull? If it helps, thinking of an extract with which I can add hops. But I fancy that will take me down a road SWMBO won't thank me for, due to storage and space (Full grain or extract brewing)

Is there any argument to using the tap on your fermenter (primary/secondary) for bottling purposes as well as sampling purposes? Is there specific tubing you can get for this? If one didn't have to use a siphon for bottling life would be easier....
