Forgot to stir in yeast - need to worry?

Post by Shoit » Sun Aug 17, 2008 8:07 pm

Just started my second brew - a Muntons Conker Brown Ale.

Everything went well, but i forgot to stir in the yeast starter after pitching into the wort. I did aerate the wort before this for a good 5 mins. Fermentation is going well, and has a healthy froth. I'm using Safeale S04 and rehydrated before pitching.

Will the fact that i forgot to stir in the yeast make any difference?

Thanks in advance

As long as it's going now, it'll be fine. It might have got going quicker with a good stir, that's all.

It got going in about 7hrs so sounds as though it should be ok.
