Beer stuck in barrel help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, finally got my beer sorted, now I am having trouble getting the beer to come out of the tap. I have one of those plastic kegs with the float tap, how do I get the beer out, can I open the top and move the float and regass or will that destroy the drink?
