Time for the Keg?

I'm doing a lager kit as my first ever brewing attempt after I received lots of brewing equipment for Christmas. After starting the beer on the 27th December the SG finally got to 1.006 yesterday and is 1.005 today! Am I okay to put it in the keg now or should I leave it a few more days?

PS

It is a young's lager kit that came with my brewing apparatus. I did it as it says on the tin except used caster sugar as I realised I didn't have enough normal sugar after starting!

If it's going into a keg then yep, it'll be fine. :)

Hi and welcome :)

It's usual to wait until you get the same reading for a couple of days before deciding it has finished brewing but as Parva infers, this is more important really if you are bottling - or you could end up with bottle-bombs

I keg mine and as soon as it hits an acceptable reading (never got even close to 1005!) it goes in!

Thanks for the advice - going to start the keg cleaning now!
