Next kit recommendations

Post by ledmil » Tue May 12, 2009 6:54 pm

Hi folks,

I'm new to the forums (and to homebrew) and, happily, my first attempt with a Woodforde's Wherry has been much better than I hoped for. I am now pondering what to do for my second brew :? an thought I'd ask for some advice. I have been looking at the Brupacks Brewer's Choice Old Ale and am unsure about which option to go for (sugar, DME or the liquid malt). If anyone has any advice or thoughts if that is a good choice of kit and if so which option I'd be really grateful.

BTW, I can also why most of you have more than 1 keg / FV :D

Thanks in advance.

I've had great success with coopers kits also, They don't look posh and are pretty cheap but the results are excellent.
Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I think I'll have a look at the Coopers then.

Mind you I've seen the exploding Coopers Stout vid, so I hope they're not always that.....erm.....vigerous :)

I've not done a Brupacks Brewer's Choice kit myself but if you search on the forum most results will say they are good kits when brewed with choice no:2 DME.

The Coopers kits I've done have been good as far as kits can go as are the Brewferm kits.

Muntons Conn. Imperial Stout.

Perhaps the perfect stout, different to Coopers. Not to detract from Coopers stout but I love the Imperial Stout. It's like Guinness but with flavour. Actually a bit more beamish than guinness. It's good!

May have to buy me a few kits aswell.
