conditioning my ale

Hi folks, i'm about to move my admirals reserve to the garage to condition,
its been under the stairs for a week now, tempt 22. the problem is the garage is warmer then house at the moment at 24.
how can i keep my brew at the right tempt which i think is around 18-20 or may even be lower then that,
would really appreciate some advice. thanks in advance.

Assuming you can't put it in a fridge, if its in a cask you could put a tshirt over it and set it in a shallow container of water and let the tshirt wick up the water, it will cool it as much as 10 degrees.

is the OP right that the ideal conditioning temp is 18-20degC? a fridge would be far colder than that i think, usually around 6deg.

i have a bit of a problem here that the air temp is always 28 to 32. i cool my fermenter in an ice box, will i need to do the same for the bottled beer?

Yes, ideal temp is 10c to 12c for conditioning.

thanks. so after bottling, am i correct in thinking i need to keep it at 18-20deg for a week then drop to 10-12deg for 2-4 few weeks before drinking?
