Hope we're all good?
I havent done a brew since March 2009, as I have no proper way of chilling the kit while it ferments. Summer, althought rubbish again, seems too hot and I cant be bothered with the flies!
Anyway, Im about to embark on a Coopers Mexica Cerveza, in time for an Xmas mexican party!

I've read that the kit comes with an Ale yeast, but a lager yeast would be better? can anyone confirm this from first hand experience?
Also, Im gonig to use a muntons BKE. Any other tips or tricks? I read the following from the site where I bought the kit. Wasnt 100% sure I understood it!

"Wow am impressed. Smooth, easy drinking without any real bitterness but not sweet either. Made up with 1KG dextrose, to 23L, fermented in primary at 18C for 14 days then racked and bottled. On day 10 added juice only from one lime without the pulp, as the sugars in the lime juice need to ferment. At the same time made up a homemade lime extract using the zest of three limes and two ounces of vodka in cup covered with plastic wrap. The vodka extracts the green color and flavor oils from the lime zest which turns white after a few days. This extract smelled really limey so just before bottling we strained out the zest. Before bottling our group did some sample taste testing and liked the sample with lime extract better than without. Bulk primed with 5oz white table sugar in hot water, added the lime extract, then added to the 23L of beer. The lime flavor was not quite strong enough so we also added 1 Tbsp of pure natural lemon extract, stirred well then bottled. A week in the bottle its carbonated nicely resulting in a great Corona with lime clone beer. At first you taste the subtle limey flavors followed by the light hops so it is definitly beer but its not bitter nor sweet. Result is a very smooth, light tasting beer with the clear color of a Corona. If you need a quick, easy drinking beer then this Cerveza kit is a great Corona clone."
Cheers!
