Help Me Have Clear Fizzy Beer ?!

Post by turbomad2b » Thu Nov 19, 2009 5:20 pm

Can anyone help me with this one -

I currently keg and bottle my brews and SF in them , but idealy i would like to be able to transfer the brew from primary to a secondary FV , basically i would just like to be able to sup out the bottles i use for brewing (without having crap floating around) and without having to pour it into a glass, so is it possible for me to secondary ferment in a second FV then transfer to bottles , or would this create flat beers (no fizz ?!?!)

It can be done. You need to get the beer very cold the it won't lose much CO2 when transferring it.

" Clear, fizzy beer. " Dunno. Probably the antithesis of what I look for myself. But, have ye considered the possibilities of comparing notes with the Cornie Boys? :|

Just a thought .....

(Slow clapping.....)

No, lads. But, I Do like my Stout blacker than the 'arm pit' of my Dog ~ whose name is " Nigger ". And I Don't like it fizzy.

If you two can tell when jet black is " Cloudy " ? Fair play to ye. Bottled beer, to my tastes, Is 'Fizzy'. I'm given to understand a Cornie Keg is also ideally suited to creating that effect?

" Warm " ??? Please pay attention .....

Dont be so bloody rude, how is anyone meant to know you are aware what a Cornie is? You've been here 5 minutes so your brewing knowledge is unknown to us here. (and it obviously leaves room for improvement)
