Bass or Marstons style

I am particularly fond of these two beers (lived in Burton for a while, plus my Dad was born there, love the smell of the town!). I would love to be able to brew a beer similar to these, but not sure what to do. Does anyone know of a kit that comes out like either one of them? Or has anyone mixed some kits and they turned out well?
