Recently I bought a bottle of Wells Waggledance and was disapointed as I remember the Vaux version fondly.
If I were to try a homebrew Waggledance clone:-
What kind of kit should I buy to start it?
Would the honey be used for primary and/or secondary fermentation?
How much Honey should I use?
Are there any basic rules that should be adhered to when using Honey?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Waggledance - Kit
Re: Waggledance - Kit
Only just started brewing myself so not an expert by any means but from what i have read, honey ferments almost completely out so does not leave much of a honey flavour. i have been looking for an extract recipe to make something along the lines of waggledance but have not found anything. i may be wrong but from making cider i've found honey to just turn completely to alcohol and not leave any honey flavour. if someone has any recipe ideas though i'd be very keen to try it as well.
Re: Waggledance - Kit
Hi,
I also am very new to this, and wanted to do something similar. Having read that the honey almost disappears I was planning to find a decent ale kit, and then prime with the honey to see if that works. My logic being that secondary fermentation shouldn't kill off all the flavour, and at worst retain some honey aroma.

I started a topic along these lines earlier on - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=30389#p327677. It seems the general concensus is that priming with honey would not make much of a difference. If you use the search function on the forum you should be able to find some reference to imparting a honey taste to your brews. I haven't tried any of the suggestions yet myself.Philip Parsons wrote:Hi,
