Hi all,

I just wanted to say a hello to you all, i've been reading a lot on here. I would have posted before but as I am new I can't offer any advice and all my questions have been answered in the many posts on here. So thankyou to you all!

As you can (hopefully) see from my signature I have a few brews on the go now after I got more fermenting buckets off Freecycle, my Woodfordes Wherry has been in my keg for 4 weeks now and I am keeping my hands off it as I want to leave it for a full 6 weeks. The last brew I made was as a student, made up as per the instructions with cane sugar! YUK! Hopefully, what I have learned on here will make me a nice brew.

My Brewferm kits I am leaving until my brothers birthday in June, Im hoping to bring my own beer to the party [-o<

Anyway, I live in Buxton, Derbyshire and work in I.T. for a company (Cemex) which makes concrete blocks.

Hoping this becomes a long-term hobby as I am really loving it!

Hello and Welcome.

You can't go wrong with both the Wherry and the Fixby! I'm currently drinking the Fixby and its fantastic but it takes ages to clear! Mines been in the keg for over 2 months in the shed and its only just starting to clear and it's nearly all gone!!

Sounds like I have something to look forward to then :)

I have been given 50 Newkie Brown bottles from my local pub, so I will be putting the fixby in there (stored in a box in the kitchen cupboard). So I should be able to watch it clear =D>

I'll let you know how my wherry turns out

Currently finishing off the last few bottles of my Breferm Raspberry - great beer...especially the longer you leave it...these last couple of bottles are totally different to the first!
In the FV:
NEIPA with Apollo/Vic Secret/Citra

Hi,

Just make sure you always keep the newkie bottles out of direct light.

Will do mate, hence being put into a box and in the cupboard. A light struck beer sounds truly aweful [-X
