Extra hops ?

Post by Barry C » Fri Aug 13, 2010 9:23 pm

Going to start brewing in the next few days and am going to use a Brewers Choice kit (IPA) I'm rather partial to beers with a dry hoppy taste

.... been reading through various threads on the forum and came across 'hop tea' this sounds like a simple way of adding extra hop flavour into the brew :?:

if so, how should it be made and what sort of quantity :?:

can anyone point me in the direction of a desription/quality of various hops readily available please :?:

You could dry hop your brew, by using a dry hop bag like this one.

Simply put around 20g of aroma hops in the bag, then add to your fv after the initial vigorous fermentation has finished. Boil the bag first to sterilise it.

Goldings, Fuggles & Bobek are regarded as good hops for dry hopping.
