help! with clearing time

Post by danbo » Fri Aug 20, 2010 1:40 am

Hi there. im a total noobie on on my third brew and doing a coopers apa - started8 days ago (og 1033 - fg 1004)

Iv just bought a cornelious keg and the plan was to take it camping in 6 days!!! (i think i miscounted the days remaining when i started this plan)

any ideas to help it clear in time ? how long it should take to clear? will it be awful if i just sup it cloudy?

all suggestions/advice gratefully received.

Swiller

Personally danbo I would leave it at home as the beer will taste a lot nicer after a few weeks but I suppose you could drink it 'green'.
Do you plan to prime the cornie or force carbonate the beer? I usually force then leave the beer for several weeks or rack it into another FV and leave it to clear before adding it to the cornie. I would say the latter would give you the, lets say less cloudy beer.
Just my opinions I am sure someone on here will have better advice.

Good luck,

Jules.
