Conditioning Temps
What's the coolest temp I could condition my beer keg at ?. is there an optimum or the cooler the better.
Re: Conditioning Temps
An unheated room or shed would be good now, with about 10-12 C the ideal for bitter
Re: Conditioning Temps
What beer/yeast/equipment are you talking about?
English Ale in a plastic cask, German Lager in a conry keg?

Re: Conditioning Temps
Can you condition in an outside shed and then move the keg somewhere else to dispense from? How long would you need to let the barrell settle again for?
Re: Conditioning Temps
Yes, if you handle the keg gently like a baby it shouldn't need to settle at all.Dribble wrote:Can you condition in an outside shed and then move the keg somewhere else to dispense from? How long would you need to let the barrell settle again for?

Re: Conditioning Temps
Wolfy, I'm a Ale type chap, non of the Lagerboy type stuff in my kegs ta very much.
I'm moving house and there is a brick built shed/ workshop, a good 12' x 6' so said to SWMBO that'll make a nice...............OK she said.. I know what ya thinkin.........Happy days
. Question in the first instance followed the thought do I need to heat the shed /workshop/BREW ROOM. So question answered in the main, I'll use mats n insulated boxes for fermenting rest of the place for conditioning.
Cheers All, Barnie.
