Cloudiness of beer

Hello,

I have been brewing my first 5 gallon (25 litre) lager kit beer so these may be novice questions. Started the brew on 10th December and my first SG check was yesterday and it was 1004 and today it is 1002 so I think it is close to bottling.

I check the SG by using a sanitised turkey baster to remove some of the beer and placing it into a measuring cylinder and then taking the hydrometer reading. Afterwards I poured the beer into a glass to have a look at it. It is reasonably cloudy (how do I post a picture?) but there is nothing growing on top suggesting contamination. My questions are:

1. Is it normal to have cloudiness at this stage?
2. If it is does the cloudiness reduce while in the bottle or do I need to do any particular additional step to reduce the cloudiness?

The cloudiness will probably be the yeast in suspension and is perfectly normal at this stage (ie, a week)

If you bottle it the yeast will eventually settle out at the bottom.

I'm not sure you are reading your hydrometer properly though. Is the sample around 20C?

If it is 1002 it's gonna be well dry. I may be wrong, it's just I haven't seen a beer down that low before.
