Youngs brew buddy
Youngs brew buddy
Just sampled my first attempt at brewing - a Youngs Brew Buddy and I have to say I'm impressed with the result. Thanks to all the advice on this forum it has gone a lot smoother than Ithought it would - the little bottler in particular is worth it's weight in gold! Thanks to all who post their advice. Just need to decide what kit to do next - hoping to work up to malt extract after a few more kits.
Re: Youngs brew buddy
Nice one. It's a good feeling when you make beer for the first time. What kind of beer do you prefer? With such a wide spectrum of tastes on this site I'm sure there will be somebody to point you in the direction of a decent kit.
Re: Youngs brew buddy
I'm an ale drinker - will pretty much drink most of them;) my preference would be more towards black sheep and would be great to brew something similar - any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Youngs brew buddy
Pilsner man myself.
There's a lot more ale drinkers than lager drinkers here. Throw a few beers into the site engine and you might get a fair few results.
Brewing your first beer is much like the first time you make love to a fine lady. It is alright although you instantly want to do it with different kits and you want be better at it, but the most important thing is You Have Done It.

Indeed. My wife wasn't best pleased when I said it was the happiest day of my life!

Thanks - I've been looking at both of these as get a lot of positive comments on here. Will give one a go in the next week or two - need to empty a few bottles first!

Brew something for your wife every now and then and she may overlook the passion and devotion you develop towards brewing beer. Often the most important part of brewing is house space and the steady but sure quest for more.

Excellent advice. She's a cider drinker so may try a cider kit one I've got a stock of beer to drink.
