I prefer Edme Stout to Coopers but it's a slow burner ie it matures more slowly. I bottled 40 pints on 14th February and I shall leave the majority for two months before drinking. I have tried a pint or two for quality control purposes and so far, so good.
I think the main difference between the two kits is that Edme is drier whereas Coopers has a richer taste.

I would agree the EDME is a slow burner. Just finishing a four month-old batch and it's very pleasant. Very slightly sweet. Poured some of it into the beef carbonade I'm cooking tonight for tomorrow's tea.
