Hi.
I'm a bit of a noob, and have had the last minute panic after pitching. Was having problems getting wort down to temp, so stressing about a bit. I took my plastic spoon and sprayed with bentadine (4ml to 1 litre) to sanitise before use, sat it down, then went back to it and used it to stir the yeast in, but forgot to rinse any deposits of the bentadine from it, so it is now in the wort. I don't think the quantities would have been that much, but what do you think. Is it gonna ruin it?
Recipe :
2kg extra light dry malt
350grams of crystal malt
30 grams Challenger 60 mins boil
20 grams fuggles 60 mins boil
15 grams fuggles 15 mins boil
15 grams fuggles last 5 mins steeping
1 gram irish moss.
1 packet of safale dry yeast.

Shouldnt think such a tiny quantity would casue you issues - perhaps it could increase the time needed for decent fermentation to start

Sure it'll be okay, I'm not sure there are any benefits to using videne at that strength 4ml/l, used at 1.25ml/l it is no rinse, I've used I like this for dozens of brews without a hitch (touch wood!)

I thought it might have been a no-rinse one but I couldnt be certain - couldnt find any info on the product. TBH, the quantity adhering to a plastic brewers spoon after santising would have been tiny fractions of a ml

As someone else said used at 1.25ml per liter its no rinse but would think you should be ok because a fair bit wil have run off the spoon when you left it and b the concentration ratio to 23 liters is huge.. Anyway you will soon find out
