norfolk nog

started off a norfolk nog on monday night by tuesday night fermenting well
checked yesterday night( after 4 days) no airlock activity gave it a stir, today took sg reading 1.018 small amount of bubbles on the surface of the wort still no airlock bubbles (I know this means very little)
the brew is the first one in my brew fridge ,the sensor is on the outside of the fermentation vessel covered with insulation
atc800 says 19.7 measered wort temp says 19.2 so I am happy with that
I just hope it is not stuck will leave for one more week and recheck sg then

Airlocks give no real indication of how things are going. The fermentation bucket lids aren't air tight, so often CO2 escapes out of the lid. Sounds like your brew is coming along nicely. I would check it in a few more days, if it's still at 1018 it might be stuck. Hope it turns out well. The best way to check the brews progress is a hydrometer. Not sure what the instructions on this kit say, but I think you're looking about 1014-1016 for bottling.

yes mick you are spot on the instructions say 1014 I am going to leave well alone until 14 days are up then recheck sg
the first day or so their was airlock activity but of course the rapid initial fermentation would give much more co2 than the slower ferment that comes later
