chocolate orange stout

hi all i tried a chocolate orange stout in my local yesterday :D what a very nice drink . is it possible to modify a kit slightly to achive a similar stout . if so what would i need and how would i brew it [thanks] :D
soon be dead thank beer for that no pain where im going :-)

there is a similar article to this about purely chocolate stout which i'm sure someone will post a link to, but the common consensus is using pure cocoa essence in your brew to get the chocolate flavours.

as for the orange, another common method often used for wheatbeers is steeping orange zest in water for 30mins and then adding that to the brew before fermentation. you can get different flavours from different oranges, some sweeter, others bitter, so you'll have to decide what exactly you're after before embarking.

use the search function on this website and do a google search as well, i'm sure it has been done successfully before with all-grain and extract.

thanks will have a good search around , dont fancy messing a good kit up but if you dont try you will never know :D

Lee; Run a search on " Chocolate Stout Made Simple ". This forum. There's ye choccy.

As for orange chocolate ....?! GTF! Though, that's probably just my personal bias, because orange is not a taste I like. Period.

If You fancy it though? Go ahead and fill ye boots. The stuff I use for choc' will at least see ye half way there. Wouldn't have a clue how to best add 'orange' flavour though.
