Bingo!

Post by Monkeybrew » Sun Jul 01, 2012 11:20 pm

I've been wondering what to do with a can of Coopers Pilsener for a while now, and I've just spyed this little gem http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-g ... czech-pils

I have got the yeast and just need the DME and some fresh Saaz

Should make a quality full bodied Pils for the winter.

Haha, I certainly don't have much time on my hands at the moment, but kit brewing is a doddle timewise, compared to the BIAB AG brews that I've done so far. I have been working my way through some very reasonable kits that I purchased here - http://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk/- a few months ago, so no millionare either

Not telling you the OG until you give me your advice on my cellone pilsner recipe. If I'm honest that a lie, truth is I didn't think to take one  . I haven't done since poohead pointed out that the calculator I was using was a bit generous,I still take readings to see if it's finished fermenting.

i know this conversation is is a bit dispersed but ........I can't continue on craigie's thread where I'm praising the attribute's of this kit in it's own right (and rightly so imho) to then carry on about about fiddling with it, just doesn't seem right.

Lol, I have read your Pilsener recipe matey and will give you my thoughts for what they are worth

Had almost forgotten about pooface and his charming posts! I base my ABV on this formula: OG-FG=X X/7.46= your ABV

I used to add a bit on for priming, but don't bother now, as I don't believe that adds much alcohol.

Your right about craigie's post, I'm pretty bad at hijacking a post
