Mark, I see your handle is " Arfer ". Are you a Donna Summer fan ....?

That aside. Ye beer? Stick in in a BK. That'll not explode on ye. Then, chastened by this experience, get a Coopers Stout kit next time.

You Know it makes sense .....

I would not bottle it (unless you have added other ingredients that are unfermentable and will raise FG). Give it a gentle stir, mixing the sediment back into the beer. If you ahve tried this/ it doesnt work raise the temp a few degreesand that should get it going again.

Still got 40 empty bottles what to fill with ? any ideas.

What's the weather like with you? Any long, balmy evenings yet to enjoy? If so, and I was bottling anything? For me, it'd have to be a try out of the Coopers Cerveza Image

Never tried it myself, before. Would have loved to have done so, this summer. Only, Eire simply hasn't had anything remotely resembling a summer :(

Thought of sitting back, with a good film or two, kebab, and a dozen or so such bottles in the fridge? It appeals ....!

I guess ye could say that would be a Donna Summer kebab.

Especially as she's been dead for 3 months [-X

Regarding the Cerveza Ditch, It is at the polar opposite of the Coopers Stout. Try it but I found it so light and taste free I may as well have drinking American Bud or Coors light.

:( Oh. Bugger. See, I was basing my thoughts on some bottles of Mexican Cerveza I had last summer (Summer of 2011. Saying 'Last Summer' makes it sound as if there's been another one since)

Granted, that long ago I can't even remember what I liked about it. I'd definitely be looking for more flavour though. Wonder what the other Coopers 'lager' types are like? Canadian Blonde seems quite well received .....

Truth is, see; I simply really don't know much about lagers :|

For a lager style the APA is pretty good with the recommended Coopers BE. Quite flavoursome and lowish IBU compared to an IPA.

Cerveza IBU = 14-18 IBU depending on volume
APA = 22-25 IBU

What ....? No. Sorry. That's just gone right over my head. I simply have no concept of what IBU is all about.

Would ye say an APA would be a nice substitute for a half decent Cerveza?

If you are looking for a lager style with a bit of body and flavour then yes.

To give you a bit of perspective on IBUs a Coopers stout brewed at 20l would have an IBU of 60+.

Cool. Cheers Image

All I need now is the stupid f**king notion that we're ever going to see Any weather break that could possibly be worth calling a " Summer " and encouraging me to want a long, tall cold one

Seriously though; How's it been in UK? I only get the odd hints and rumours of ye weather, from here.

Here, I can barely remember a day without some level of rain.

I'm quite far south and haven't had a chance to sit out in the garden at all this year really.
I built a nice seating area a couple of years ago and last year it was used a lot.
