'Hoppy Bitter' for a tenner. You could use it as a base for making up your own recipe. A tenner is pretty cheap these days. How much are charging for the 2 can kits? they sound a better proposition and like you say no doubt made by Muntons.

I popped into wilkos today (Wrexham) and wow - they've tripled the size of the homebrew section - there was loads of 1 can wilko brand kits, including a plisner,a ' sweet newckie brown', and also apple and pear ciders. They also had coopers lager, english bitter and stout , plus the 2 can brewmaker best of british series, 2 can wilkos kits, plus the usual wherry (all £22.00), and all the geordies stuff, the edme kits and the john bull kits seem to be gone though, which is a shame as i like the edme lager. They do now sell brewing sugar (thank god for that, i've had to order online just to get hold of brewsugar before) and light and medium spray malt. I bought a coopers stout - just because i can - its such a good feeling to just pick decent stuff up off the shelves rather than buying online - those with a lhbs don't know their born!! there was also loads of new wine stuff but i didn't look at that. because its shite. ;-)

As I said in the other wilkos thread below, I bought the pilsner. I'm going to try it with a lager yeast (shame it doesn't come with one) to see what it's like. looking forward to a taste test. :=P
