Thought this might be an interesting thread.
I've always thought that when I make up a coopers old dark ale kit with some malt and extra dark muscavado sugar, it tastes very similar to a pint of hobgoblin.
Anyone got any others.
I'm on about straight kits here.No hope additives etc.

Sadly its hard to make clones with kits, as less control but if you go in the all grain and extract forums there are tons of threads on clones of real beers.
