Just done a hydrometer check on my milestone kit at day 5 my sg was1.040 and today it's at 1.002 so with calculations that makes it at 5.25 with priming sugar adding another 0.5 of a per cent won't this make it 5.75. After consulting various sites this kit should only be 4.5 % . So any one check my maths please

Your maths isn't far off, but your hydrometer of 1.002 seems too low for a two can kit. 1.010 is the lowest I've had a two can kit go.

Well I've checked the reading in water at 20 degrees as I thought it was way off before but no for some reason I have super strong homebrew
