stupid idea time

Post by timbo41 » Sat Sep 29, 2012 11:37 am

Those who have seen my threads before will know that my brain works a bit wierd...so heres another one!! Have a big slow cooker( see where this is going yet?).. have some wild hops.. dont have a lot of time these days. Anything to stop me combining the two for an overnight hop steep to add to an extract brew? Or use it for a mini mash. Dont know what temp a slow cooker on low setting reaches , but easily checked by doing with water overnight i should think #-o

Not so stupid - not sure how it will turn out though - let us know.

Now hops in a pressure cooker - there's an idea.

Would it reduce the time needed to obtain the bitter/flavour/aroma?
