Does Belgian Candy Sugar Go Out Of Date?

I've found some! - 500g, just right for a brew I'd like to get on, alas it has a BB date of sometime in mid 2011, I didn't think sugar went off, do you guys know different, is Belgian candy sugar different in this regard?

Oh yeah, placed in 'kit' section as I'm going to use it in a kit, I looked in ingredients section and wasn't sure where sugar would go!!

I would use it, absolutely, without a second thought. That said, I wouldn't be hunting expensive Belgian candy sugar anyway. A bag of common turbinado, raw cane sugar or golden brown cane sugar from the market will accomplish the exact same thing, I promise.

Thanks, I sensed that the might have been the case. Mixed results when you read opinions on candy sugar tbh, I've got it so I'll use it!

OSA; 'Best Before' dates are largely a load of bollox.

I'm presently using some rodent bait that's supposedly Three Years out of date. I never told the mice that though. So, they're obligingly dying from it.

Don't let their stupid regulations and arbitrary figures beat down your own, innate, common sense
