Missed Hopping Opportunity?
Missed Hopping Opportunity?
I completely forgot to add the hops to the FV for the London Porter festival kit, and its now been brewing 12 days. Will it be ok to add them now, and then just wait 5 days before transferring to the keg?

Yep, as long as you keep the lid on tight it will be fine.
Have you had a taste yet, as I wondered what that kit was like?

Re: Missed Hopping Opportunity?
Definitely. You shouldn't dry-hop until primary fermentation ends anyway. Otherwise the CO2 blasts away all your precious aromas. Happy mistake.

Just kegged it and had a sneaky sample. It already tastes better than previous kits I've brewed that have had a month to mature, and its still got a couple of weeks to mature. I'm definitely going to try all the rest in this range now too.Monkeybrew wrote:Have you had a taste yet, as I wondered what that kit was like?

I'm also about to kick off a Simply Pale kit. Be interesting to see how the new Richie products turn out.
