HEART OF ENGLAND KITS

Post by Austinckb » Thu Oct 25, 2012 10:05 am

Hi all

Been surfing the web looking for a Christmas kit and came across these kits on the Hamstead Brewing Centre site. The Santas Sleigh Ride Special looks interesting : http://www.hamstead-brewing-centre.co.uk/itm01605.htm

Has anybody tried these or have any thoughts on them?

Cheers

Dave

HI
I have tried the mild and stout, they were my second and third brews, unfortunatly i think the mild got infected or I bottled too early they were all gushers and undrinkable. The stout however i did with 1kg of dsm and was very nice after 6 weeks in the bottle.

Thanks for the response, I always try to get a bit of info before I try a kit from somewhere new. Bit torn now between their Santa's or another Festival Pilgrims Hope

I know the manufacturer of these kits, and they are not standard generic extract from an East Anglian maltster (m*nt0n5) . . . The extract is very fresh, and formulated to specific requirements. . . . If you want something a bit special try the Brew It Yourself kits . . . very good. . . . Available from Hamstead Homebrew 0121 358 6800

And no the only relationship I have with Chris is that of a happy customer :D!!!

I think I'll do the Santa's Sleigh Ride for (one of) my Christmas beer(s). Anyone any idea what strength it will be?
