Thermometer for Newbies.

Post by WalesAles » Wed Mar 13, 2013 9:39 pm

Hello Everyone,
I am a Newbie myself but I still see loads of posts where people are asking for thermometers for their brewdays. I found this one after seeing one in `Geezah`s pics. Great for room temperatures too.

Hope this helps someone.
Andy, If this should be in the Equipment post, please accept my apologies. I put it on here because this forum seems to get the most posts.

Wales; I have a very similar one here. Okay for a quick look. But, if ye, eg. leave it in a heated wort environment, like an active FV, for days on end? They tend to condensate inside the glass.

I'm an absolute fetishist for dials. I Love looking at my dial faced thermometer. But, sadly, I've had to revert to a good, old fashioned, long, glass Beer Thermometer. I just threaded it on a bit of garden tying wire and hang it in my trugs.

Not half as sexy. But, practical :|
