brewmakers Irish velvet stout improvement

Hi I am usually an all grainer but have taken up this forums suggestion to try out a kit . I have selected Brewmakers Irish velvet stout as my venture. Any suggestions from you experts regarding any possible improvments. Thinking of possibility of adding some torrified wheat for head retention . How would i introduce this to the kit or do you think it isn't required

Doesn't torrified wheat need to be mashed?? Could use wheat extract instead presuming additional head retention is required for this kit, I only do Cooper's stout so maybe someone else can be more specific. Certainly with Cooper's stout it's improved by brewing short, 19 litres is good. Also have a read of the Ditch's stout thread viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31569, I'm sure the principles are equally valid for your kit!

Cheers
