Bock beer kits?
I'm thinking about brewing a kit based bock beer for the autumn.
I would really appreciate feedback on any Bock kits.
Cheers

To be honest I have never brewed one of these Bock kits, but there are 8 reviews on that page. For the cost of a Munton's kit you wont be losing out on to much to give it a go.

Re: Bock beer kits?
Cheers guys.
The Muntons was on my radar as the probable choice, as there are only 3 bock kits that I've seen.
I'm thinking about doing a mini mash with Munich malt and some dark crystal, along with light dme, maybe a slight hop additional to balance extra malt and a liquid german lager yeast.
Cheers

I have looked on his site, but couldn't see it. Saying that, he doesn't always have every kit on there.
I'll have to pay him a visit to double check

Cheers

Re: Bock beer kits?
I brewed a Brewferm Oranj Bock a while back. I did this straight to the kit instructions (not even brewing short) using candy sugar. I don't think I have ever had a "real" bock, so am not in a position to compare with this, however it did prove very popular with the visiting beer thieves, as my (former) friends have been renamed
Happy brewing,
Ian.

Happy brewing,
Ian.
I've tried a couple of Bock beers and they have been very malty & flavoursome!
Unfortunately my LHBS is out of stock, so I'll order the Muntons Connisuer Bock 1.8kg kit online.
I will start by brewing another Coopers Euro Lager with DME, probably some Perle hop additions and either WLP833 or Wyeast Munich yeast. Once this brew is racked, I'll then use the slurry to ferment a Monkey Bock Bier!
Both brews will be ready for cold winter conditioning in my garage.
Cheers
