Best place to buy Festival kits?

Post by Manngold » Tue Jul 01, 2014 9:51 pm

Hi all,

I normally use Amazon for my products, and am after a Festival Endeavor or Razorback kit. Amazon seems to be coming in at around £31 inc delivery, which seems a bit steep (is it - or is this about right?). Can anyone recommend any online retailer that has a better rate?

Thanks

Most of the hombrew online suppliers do free delivery once you spend £50 so as long as you get two it'll be £25 each.

Try art of brewing or the malt miller, both of them have had good reports here.

Whilst I would love to use LHBS, I don't actually have one. Nearest one is over an hours drive away, and I don't have the time to collect. I live and work in South East London, and have no need to travel. I wish I had a LHBS, it would make life a lot easier. I may well have to start one up!

Yeah, it's sad London doesn't have a decent home brew shop (or didn't when I lived there a few years ago.

I was on m6 so picked up a festival porter kit from leyland homebrew today. It's my birthday so my wife let me fill up a basket of dme, hops, malt and the kit and paid for the lot. She was even encouraging me to get some more hops!

Lucky begger. I wish I had a good shop near me. Really dislike having to pay £7 shipping each time I want something!

Order in bulk for free shipping, then you can explain to SWMBO what economic sense it makes ;-)
