Finlandia Bitter

has anybody made Finlandia Bitter, I've seen some out of date for sale on Ebay for 9.99 including postage which is reasonable, I've got some spare yeast that I can use if the kit yeast is too old, just wondered if anyone has done one and whether it's any good?

I did back when I first started :) not impressed but that's probably because I should have used less water and some dme instead of sugar. :)
Cheers and gone,

Never done a Finlandia.

If you want to do it to try something new fair enough, but if it's just as a 'bargain kit', there's plenty about for less than a tenner at the min:

Wilko Light Golden Lager, Delicate Pilsner, Hoppy Copper Bitter, Sweet Newkie Brown, Mexican Cerveza, Dark Velvet Stout all £7.50; free collect from store
Geordie Lager, Bitter, Yorkshire Bitter, Winter Warmer, Scottish Export, Mild all £9 at Wilko; free collect from store
Tom Caxton Best Bitter, Real Ale, both £9.75 at Wilko, free collect from store
Geordie Lager, Bitter, Scottish Export, Yorkshire Bitter, Mild all £8.50 at Tesco; free collect from store and Clubcard Boost available
John Bull Real Ale, Traditional English Ale, India Pale Ale all £9 at Tesco, free collect from store and Clubcard Boost available
Coopers Canadian Blonde £9.50 at Tesco, free collect from store and Clubcard Boost
Coopers Ginger Beer, Australian Pale Ale, European Lager, Lager, Real Ale, Mexican Cerveza, English Bitter all £10 at Tesco, free collect from store and Clubcard Boost

I saw some Finlandia in Boyes, Ilkley. Wasn't that cheap. If it was, I could have been tempted.

I've availed myself of the Wilko bargains in the sale, long may it continue, so far I've had a Wilko 2can golden ale, 2 x Coopers English Bitter, Coopers Stout and Coopers lager along with several bags of DME and brewing sugar and Gervin yeast. The problem in the wilds of Lincolnshire where I am is that the Tescos don't have home brew products, shame as if I want any Coopers kits other than Bitter, lager or stout I have to get it mail order which means I have to pay delivery and I really like Coopers kits. Everyone has a recipe tweak for them along with Coopers own recipe section on their website and the general reliability of the kits in general.

If you order from the Tesco Direct website, you don't need to pay carriage if you select the 'Click & Collect' deliver-to-store option.

I've never seen homebrew in a physical Tesco store.

I can vouch for that too. My local Tesco is tiny - is one of the express ones that's attached to the petrol station at the end of the road. I can order online though and it's delivered free of charge via click and collect.

Yes, I've collected from an 'Express' too. But now I've found that the local 'supermarket' size store has a drive-through Click & Collect bay I go there now on my way home from work as I don't even need to get out of the car!

If there's a lazy way to do something I'll find it. I think ASDA has something similar, but ASDA don't sell beer kits.
