Brewing long?

Always lots of talk about brewing short - what about brewing long?

Festival Razorback IPA was my latest brew. It's great but 5.7% is a bit stronger than I want to be drinking regularly to remain on this mortal coil

Has anybody brewed a kit like this to 25 or 26 litres, or more?

Could this produce a 4.5% ish beer whilst keeping enough, albeit less, of the flavour?

Or are there reasons to make it a no no?

I personally can't advise you on that but I would love to know that too. As I prefer quaffing strength for me about 3.5 to 4.2 ish.

I haven't.

You will reduce the ABV, bug will lose body and malt and hop profile. You could add to the hop profile by using additional hops but not malt or body.

I'd just go for an IPA with a lower ABV to be honest. Or stick it in 330 cl bottles. Drink it in halves if kegged? :|

Try the young's APA, that's a little lighter and just as good.

EDIT! no it's not.....
