Geordie winter warmer, far as it will go?

After last years underwhelming 3.5% or so winter warmer! I decided to feed it so bit more sugar this year.

I did the kit, 1kg BKE and a tin of the cheapo lme from that place in Ireland. This gave me do starting og of 1058 brew length 21l, fermented to nuts for three days and took a reading and was at 1018, come today so I can chuck in secondary to dry hop I remembered to take a sample, which is at 1016. So I think I've prematurely hit secondary or this is as low it'll go.

So, which one is more likely? I'd hate to waste the dry hopping and this will live in a king keg.

You don't actually say how long it has been fermenting but if less than a fortnight I'd suggest being patient. It may have finished but even if it has it will get a little cleaner and smoother tasting if you give it time. Given the amount of malt added I'd not be surprised buy a higher than expected FG.

Happy brewing,

Ian.
