Hi all.
On reading on here I've noticed some kits, I think wherry and Wilko golden ale were 2 of them, had trouble clearing, according to some people.
Could anyone tell me which kits would benefit from fining and which do not? In particular out of the ones I have at the moment, a Geordie export, a wilko golden ale, a wherry, and a coopers Ozzy lager and a wilko Mexican?
Thanks
John

Personally I don't think that any kits require fining.
In my experience, it's all about refining your brewing techniques before you bottle or keg a brew.
It's even easier this time of year, because once primary is over and the brew has a stable gravity, you can rack off into a clean FV and pop it in a cold garage to chill for a few days. This will really help to clear the brew before you package it.
This was my Wilko Golden Ale at bottling.

Thanks MB that looks bloody lovely mun! I wish I had a cold garage or outhouse but unfortunately I have neither. My coldest bedroom is around 17c. Would it be okay to condition an FV in the garden? Bedroom or garden is about the best I've got available I'm afraid.
