Brewed this a week ago.
- one coopers wheat kit
- 1kg Wheat DME
30g hallertauer Mittelfruh
3068 hefeweizen yeast.
to 20 litres
didn;t measure OG but should be about 1042 and FG 1015
the hops were boiled for 10 minutes along with half the DME.
Yeast is interesting. I had this yeast in an extract hefeweizen and kept the yeast cake. I then used that in a mango turbo cider. I built up the dregs from two of my own bottles. First into 300ml of 1030 wort, then into 1 litre.
as of today this is at 1015 after a healthy krausen, slight banana.
needs bottling this weekend
Coopers Wheat
Re: Coopers Wheat
bottled and already half gone.
a reliable easy drop. if I come across the kits cheap again I will make. it is just to easy and too drinkable. i am a big fan of wheat beer though . perhaps biased.
I now have two pitches of the 3068 yeast in the fridge to use too...

6g per litre. And.that was after only 7 days in the fermenter so still plenty of CO2 in it from the primary I guess.
