My latest 2 kits (cervesa & homewrecker) have fermented out a lot quicker than i expected and I cant get them barrelled until Sunday evening.
Will i be ok to leave it for 4/5 days after reaching barreling point or do i need to take any action?

Cheers!

When did you start them off G90?, I assume as you say that they have fermented out quickly not long ago, i've left kit brews in primary for 2 weeks and they have been fine, still plenty of yeast in suspension for a secondary fermentation in the keg 8)

BTW - nice to see another Brummie brewer on here!

I wouldn't worry too much, I've found that we are generally in too much of a hurry to get our beer out of the primary, and have often left beer for 10 days or longer.

The one thing that you don't want to do is to fine a beer and then leave it sat on the lees for an extended period . . . .Do you Beer Bloke??

Can you explain that bit as it seems to have gone over my head a bit :?

A brewer of my acquaintance once fined a cloudy beer and then forgot about it, when he returned to it about 6 weeks later we discovered that it had developed a distinctive flavour :-& I'm just hoping to draw him out of lurking with a dig or two :D

Let me enlighten you...

Obviously this beer bloke is sat on Lees whatever??? to facilitate making a fine beer..... hmm maybe there is a darker side to this home brew lark :O OMG

Edited by EBBAdger...

DAMN always a problem when two people post at the same time (see above)... the joke can backfire :)
