Wilko Cerveza Pimping

Post by Merkin1309 » Thu Oct 29, 2020 8:04 pm

Evening All,

I've done two of these kits so far,

one with light spraymalt and 50g of Ekuanot for the last 5 days of fermentation which turned out really soapy in taste
and ended up down the sink.

the second one, also with light spraymalt and added 50g of Cashnere hops for the last 5 days of fermentation,
this one turned out really nice.

I guess what I'm really asking is, how can I add a bit more flavour to it? medium malt maybe?

what have any of you done to pimp yours please

Al

I’be been AG now for 3 years but started out with kits. First thing I always did was ditch the supplied yeast & bought quality, I also converted an old fridge with temp control( had a few brews go down the drain), this took my kits to the next level. If you have temp controlled conditions using a quality lager yeast would give superior results, that’s about it really. A cerveza is a cerveza, light with little hop flavour. ✌🏼

I was brewing AG a few years ago, I just wanted to get back into it gently.

I went up to Dark Rock Brewing yesterday and picked up a couple of part grain kits, now to dig out the boiler and
Milton!

Merk,
You could try this, I know it`s for a Pale Ale but a Cerveza came out just as tasty! :D
