Geordie Mild review

Post by cwrw gwent » Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:28 pm

Geordie Mild is one of my favourite session beers. Here is a review:

Geordie Mild is an excellent low gravity beer with good condition, head and body that clears quickly in the bottle. It is great value for money if you're looking for a pleasant dry mild with a low bitterness rate, but not overly sweet (as some ales of this genre can be). I usually brew it with 500 grams of medium Spraymalt and 500 grams of sugar - demarara or soft brown sugar produces a better flavour than bog-standard white sugar.

I think I did this kit once for my wife, who is a mild fan. I too used some spraymalt in place of some of the sugar, and brewed short. Plus I added ClarityFerm as my wife is coeliac. A pleasant drink, as far as i recall.
