BM/GF Hybrid

Has anyone out there with a BM dumped the Speidel controller and bolted on a Grainfather controller?
This looks like a good option for failed BM controllers. A BM one is £400 GF is £100 a no brainer if the idea works.

I will definitely go for it when my steamed up controller dies.
I did think Grain-Meister or the Brau-Father as names

I see Grooves on the BM site has gone with buy the bits make your own route.

does anyone know if a GrainFather turns the pump on & off automatically? And at what Temp does it stop on the boil?

It won’t be difficult, BM is a PT1000 so you may need to source a probe to fit or at least change the element inside.

Other then that you have a pump (not sure of the voltage) and the heating element.
