Recipe was quite a simple one

Pale malt
Crystal
Chocolate.
Hops
Willliamette.
Bobek
Wilko's yeast.
The only thing that was different I tried Harris starbrite.
It was stronger than usual though. This is probably down to not having the overnight/brew and ferment dialled in yet.

Is Harris starbrite the Vegan one? That shouldn't affect it.

Are you sticking with fermentation in the BM?

I can't believe I have missed this for so long. I quite like not having a huge brewday and all the extra cleaning up.

Excellent news. I did wonder if you had been put off by "dreamy beer".

You might see on another thread I am looking for a rising table to make life easier.

Just running a double brew to test a thought.. "does the trub rob the hop flavours"

Brew A brewed in the BM20 as normal.
Brew B day two before pitch, dropped the wort out to a couple stainless buckets (thanks icebox - you started this), rinsed (not a deep clean) the BM and then poured back.

Let's see...

I know reading this some off your are screaming..... Let me know what you think 🤔

Hi Mash

I am sold on the overnight and ferment thing.
My beer just got a public outing:
https://abingdonblog.co.uk/?p=29106

And went down very well (all gone)
Not sure I would be pulling it out and putting it back in again may as well go srtraight into a fermenter.

I too am sold. Very sold.

This test is more for me to prove to myself there isn't an issue, if I am honest.

It is the final check before a mod. I am adding an independent heating pad to the bottom of the BM. 240v/60w. Last few brews have been in prototype mode.

I bought a couple of stainless buckets for the rinse and return which made it very easy. Lower pumped tap helps. Really surprised at want a small amount of trub that came through.

Added course Irish moss direct to the brew to hold it (trub) together.... Might have helped.

As expected the brew is clearer going into the bottles on day 7. Let's see how the taste test goes.

Committed to fermenting in the BM, I have yesterday installed an adhesive 220v/60w heater pad, under the thermal jacket. The hope is high temp glue survives boil 😱

Here it is.

A three pin aviation connector for the pad to connect to the inkbird.
