Yes, the BT 3-way valves are cheap Chinese jobs. You can get them on AliExpress, if you’re interested. My Blichmann G2 Linear Flow Valves don’t collect any gunk, especially after I run my BM CIP protocol. If you want to drain a BM completely, for cleaning/rinsing, use a dip tube:

It was all I could afford on their website I did change to slightly bigger o-rings, but perfect fit to be honest. Needs lube or else tends to get stuck.

Of course I wont laugh.
Sorry.
Excellent...I think I'll buy into the BT culture and get one
Still haven't manned up and cut a hole in the side of my BM to fit the whirlpool fitting that I bought!!
Re: The BrewTools Fanboy Thread
I've actually drilled two holes in mine. One (the lower one you've probably seen) for half batches and a higher one for full batches. I'll update next brew.

I sometimes wonder if these people have every brewed beer themselves.
Re: The BrewTools Fanboy Thread
No thanks, I’m far too busy to be wasting my valuable time and money cleaning and sanitising all those ports. As I said already, it’s extremism engineered for mid-life crises.

Very cyber punk, but every joint is a potential source of contamination and leaks.

I think they have no choice but to make their own beer in Scandinavian countries because their duties on alcohol are just crazy. I believe Norway has the highest rate of excise for beer of all of them.
Re: The BrewTools Fanboy Thread
And I bet it costs a small fortune to close all those ports with compulsory accessories. What do you take me for?

That's cute! It's a bit like a puppy where various parts seem to grow wildly out of proportion to their body.Bumster McGee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 2:43 amHere's a nice piece of kit for you McMuffin

I'd be a bit worried about dumping the entire fermenter out while using the dump valve!
Anyone want to make some bets on pricing for their F40 fermenter? I'm going to say £1300.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.
