whilst in tesco picking up apple juice for toffee apple cider i noticed they had not from concentrate red grape juice.
so bought 2L and i woz wondering if some1 could help me come up with a recipe,
heres wot i have to hand at home
2L not from concentrate red grape juice 16.3g/100ml
yeast nutrient
wine tannin
campden tablets
malic acid
citric acid
and the yeast is lalvin ec-1118 wine/champagne
i also have a small amount (roughly 100g) of local honey if it can b used it would b great.
any help would b great.

I'd have got a little more! It's like hen's teeth round here. I made a gallon from Welches' purple grape a few months back. It is now just about drinkable. I suppose you could use 2lt grape and 2lt apple juice. Add the honey and sugar up to you desired SG.

I wouldn't add malic acid but maybe a tannin and citric acid but I'm fairly new so someone else might be able to help more.

Definitely some tannin, and fill the rest of the gallon with more juice, apple or grape, or whatever you fancy really.
Look at the packs, see how much sugar you have, add enough to get the ABV you want.
Rule of thumb 20g/l=1% or 100g/4.5l=1%, this rule tends to be a little bit high once you multiply it up to about 14%
