Steriliser

Post by martyn142@yahoo.com » Wed May 28, 2025 6:28 pm

Hello

I'm returning to winemaking after a long sojourn. I have used no rinse steriliser for beer making in recent years. Is this also suitable for winemaking? I'd probably rinse with fresh water when bottling but when fermenting I'm hoping not to have to do this.

A no-rinse sanitiser does exactly the same thing when making wine. Good sanitation is highly recommended but we are talking about food hygiene practices when making beer, wine, etc.

OK thanks. I just wondered if the taste might be noticeable in wine. I'll give it a go anyway.

Just rinse it. Makes sure then.
