beaverdale kits

Post by brewjohn » Fri Aug 21, 2020 12:00 pm

Just bought 2 X6 bottle kits a Merlot and a Shiraz. They are both fermenting like never before and climbing out of the airlock onto the worktop. Never been as violent as this before ,made plenty ! I have read that the sachet of juice in the 30 bottle packs is smaller but more concentrated .I wonder if
that is the reason ? Anyone else come across this They are in a temp controled fridge at around 20 C

Maybe an exceptionally good batch of yeast.

The juice supplier has changed it's process and says the resultant juice compound is more concentrated yet produces a higher quality finished product. Shouldn't make any difference really as you're still diluting it to 23 litres

I hadnt noticed any difference as to how vigorously they ferment, but they are giving me good results

I would just leave a little bit more space for them to get going & Then top up once they have calmed down a bit
