raspberry wine

Made a gallon recently, starting sg was 1.170, 5 days later it had stopped fermenting at .990, is this normal, I know its warm, used kilo of sugar to 3 lbs fruit

A bit quick but it has been warm lately!
I tend to use rassies as a base, about half to two thirds the fruit, and put other berries in for better flavour.
My garden supplies me with lots of redcurrants as well as rassies, and blackberries are all over the place locally. I also have red gooseberries.
I find a few ounces of blackcurrants (also from my garden) per gallon makes everything much more winelike.

Grapes can be finished in 7-10 days that's normal.
Hotter temps does mean quicker, but might cost you some flavour.
